This holiday season, beware of fake emails from “Santa Clause” These are malicious emails designed to redirect you to survey sites intended to steal your personal data. These links also have the possibility of infecting your PC with viruses. These particular emails are designed to take advantage of your holiday spirit. These days, the unsolicited emails that we receive are often intended to do harm.
Some important things to remember when checking your email are not to open messages from people you do not know. Some of the subject lines might have things like “Free personalized letters from Santa”. Do not click on any links in these emails. More than likely they will send you to a website that is intended to steal your information or insert a virus into your computer. Delete these email as soon as you see them. The excerpt below is a good example of a Malicious Holiday Email.
